2 Police matters
2.1 No police officers attended and no report
had been received. Members had wished to raise the following
matters and the Chairman agreed to contact the police..
2.2 Concern about crowds of youths at
entrance to College grounds.
2.3 Reports of break ins to garages and
properties
2.4 Apparently abandoned car transporter,
previously in Munro Road now in Borden Road.
3 Membership
3.1 SM intimated that he had received an
e-mail request from a local resident to join JCC. He
contacted CCRC and received a
copy of the “Good Practice Guide to
Filling Vacancies” together with copies of application forms and return
envelopes. Notices had to be
placed locally and information was published on the Website.
3.2 SM informed the applicant of the date and
time of this meeting but she did not attend.
3.3 Since there are several vacancies, Pat
McLean (a former long serving member) has completed an application form.
3.4 It had been understood that Jack Gaw, who
had moved to South Jordanhill, felt unable to attend winter meetings but would
return in the Spring. However SM had
contacted him today and Jack has decided to resign. SM will notify CCRC. of this further vacancy and send a note to
Jack thanking him for his service.
4 CORRESPONDENCE
4.1 Annual Grant.
The cheque for £476.05
was passed to Robert Mellish but we still await receipt of the refund for the
incorrect deduction for CCRC insurance.
4.2 ASCC Insurance
There has been a steady
flow of emails without any satisfactory outcome. Our insurance schedule states that our cover period is 1
April 2009 to 31 March 2010 but following enquiries Zurich has told us that it
runs from 1 May 2009 to 30 April 2010.
ASCC appears to be in a muddle and there is some doubt whether we should
continue to insure with them. SM has
kept the CCRC fully informed of these unsatisfactory developments.
4.3 Jordanhill Campus.
There has been no
information about developments, except for a brief e-mail informing us that the
groundsman’s house on Southbrae Drive was to be demolished during the Easter
holidays.
4.4 Community Councils Discussion Group.
A meeting was held on
Saturday 10 April, but SM who had intended to attend was unable to do so.
4.5 Planning applications
7 Woodend Drive,

123 Westland Drive,
single storey rear extension
103 Mitre Road, two storey rear extension with underbuilding
114 Munro Road, rear extension, dormer and rooflights.

4.6 Fossil Grove and Victoria Park.
Robert Mellish gave an
update on developments regarding the bridges at the pond, the blaes pitches, the playpark and the
Fossil Grove. It appears that a
large Trust Fund has been traced which should cover the repair to the leaking
building.
