3          ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

We are required to hold an AGM in order to approve the annual accounts.    It was agreed that this should be held at the next meeting on 7 January.     The ordinary meeting will start at 7.15 p.m. as usual, with the AGM advertised for 7.30 p.m.

4          JORDANHILL CC WEBSITE

It was intimated that our website is now up and running and the chairman thanked SM for putting this in hand.      A number of updates have been made since it was set up to cover matters as they develop.

Notification to all residents will be undertaken by a note within the circular to be sent out by SU announcing their exhibition early next year.   A note was also contained in the December issue of the Jordanhill Church magazine.

5          CROW ROAD TRAFFIC SIGNALS

Both Councillors Colleran and Mason has succeeded in obtaining the internal report by traffic specialists which considered 12 possible solutions for the problem of the pedestrian crossing of Crow Road at Whittingehame Drive.     The recommended solution included signals controlling Woodend Drive which we would have opposed as that would have led to increased rat running.     Having considered the report it was agreed to take no further action.

6          SCOTSTOUN TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SCHEME

SM explained he had contacted an official in Land Services about the proposed scheme and had included a detailed item about this on the website.       Following discussion it was agreed to wait and see how things develop, and if there are problems in Jordanhill, we can then ask for a similar scheme to be introduced for our area.   Contact to be made with Scotstoun CC.

7          INDIAN SUMMER

A question was asked regarding the Indian Summer events on Victoria Park and SM was asked to find information on the following ;    details of any contract which GCC has with the organisers;  why is it held in a public park rather than a commercial venue;   what revenue does GCC get for it;   who pays to repair the damage;  is it proposed to be an annual event.

8          WESTLAND DRIVE -DANES DRIVE JUNCTION

Local residents have concerns about the safety of the twin mini roundabouts.    It was agreed that SM would write to Land Services seeking information as follows:     traffic counts    on the four approach roads, pedestrian counts,  possibility of introducing pedestrian crossings;     a complete re-design as promised some years ago.   Contact is also to be made with Scotstoun CC and Councillor Colleran.
