Community Council Meeting
held on Monday 5
November 2007 in Jordanhill Church
Hall.

Robin Miller, Mary Wilson and one member of the public. Councillor Clay. Constable Ash attended for the first part of the meeting..

1 Correction to previous minutes.
Following the previous meeting it was realised that the
Constitution does not allow members of the Executive to be related. Accordingly David Brown agreed to stand
down as treasurer and Robin Miller was elected to the post in his place.
2 Co-option of new member
Robert Mellish of 113 Mitre Road had submitted a completed
application form to the secretary following the previous meeting and was
formally co-opted as a full voting member.
3 APPROVAL OF THE PREVIOUS MINUTES
The adoption was proposed
by David Brown and seconded by Jean
Brown
4 Police Report
Constable Ash apologised
for his non attendance at recent meetings due to shift patterns and gave his
report which is summarised as under.
A total of 41 reported crimes for the two months between 1/9/07 and
31/10/07
Theft by housebreaking (9
reported nil detected), theft from
motor vehicles (5, 0), wilful
fireraising to wheelie bins (1,0), vandalism (13,1), assault (1,1), breach of the peace (2,1), drinking in
public (4,4), misuse of drugs (3,3).
Constable Ash left at
this point.
5 Reports by Councillors
5.1 Councillor Mason’s report
Councillor Mason had
telephoned SM with his apologies, four
matters were discussed and he had sent an email with information.
a. SU exhibition. He
had contacted SU about the intended exhibition of proposals for the college
site and was supplied with an anticipated programme. The exhibition is now expected in January.
b He had just heard about the closure of Dawsholm coup.
c He has learned of the proposal by Land Services to consult
the public on extending controlled parking westwards to Crow Road. JCC should consider whether Jordanhill
should be included.
d In respect of the traffic signals at Whittingehame Drive,
CM stated that he wished to see the alleged report by traffic officers and
undertook to contact Robert Booth directly.
5,.2 Councillor Colleran’s report
Councillor Colleran had
emailed a detailed report on all the matters which she had undertaken to follow
up at the previous meeting
a Dawsholm. She provided
details of the closure and alternative arrangements.
b Recycling blue bins.
She provided information on this subject.
c Whittingehame Drive traffic signals. She had not yet been able to obtain the
report requested. She will follow up
the closure of the gate with the designated community liaison for Gartnavel.
d Green map.

She and John Robertson encourage constituents to sign a petition. It was agreed that SM should write

She is still following up our complaint about the quality of City
Council minutes.
