2.2       Similarly SU had replied to our letter dated 10 March regarding the traffic study.   This reply of 5 pages was summarised and no further action is to be taken.

5          Matters Arising

5.1       Cllr Colleran produced a map showing that Jordanhill is now included in the area for consultation on parking controls.      Letters to every household will be issued later this month.

5.2       Representatives for forthcoming Area Committees.   GCC required formal minute for appointment.   S Mclean was proposed by Maria Hope and seconded by David Brown.  There being no other nominations, SM elected.      Ian Anderson was proposed for deputy member by  Stuart McLean and seconded by Catherine Benton.  There being no other nominations, IA elected.    Cllr Colleran intimated that meetings would be held in the City Chambers mid afternoon.

5.3       The letter from GCC regarding the ASCC Stakeholder Survey was discussed briefly. SM confirmed that JCC had always resisted joining this association, but members felt that we could afford the £15 fee and SM should make appropriate arrangements.

5.4       The email from the proposed monthly newsletter “Community Soup” was discussed briefly and SM produced a copy of the Milngavie edition.       It was agreed that a speaker from the group should be asked to attend our next meeting.

5.5       The poor state of Borden Road was raised and this led to the view that SM should write to Land Services to complain about maintenance in general but to draw specific attention to the state of Borden Road, Chamberlain Road outside the new townhouses and Jordanhill Drive west of Chamberlain Road.

5.6       The constitution requires JCC to hold elections every 2 years and these will be held in October this year.     We are required to state 3 locations for public notices and in recent years these have been the newsagents in Anniesland Road,     Crow Road at Whittingehame Drive and Crow Road opposite Arnold Clark.

5.7       Dawsholm Recycling Centre is now open with increased facilities including cardboard, good furniture and all types of batteries.     SM attended the official opening on 1 April.

5.8       The continuing long delays in replying to our letters by Land Services was discussed and Cllr Colleran agreed to raise the matter with the Director.

The next meeting will be held in Jordanhill Church Hall on Monday 12 May 2008 at 7.15 p.m. due to the first Monday being a public holiday.
