6          OTHER  MATTERS ARISING

6.1       Amplifier equipment.   In 1990, using funds available from the Year of Culture, JCC bought amplifier equipment with the intention of making it available to local organisations including Jordanhill School.   However the School bought their own and only occasional use has been made of it over the years by others.       It was agreed that SM (who stores the large items) should attempt to pass the outfit permanently to a suitable local organisation.

6.2       High School works.     It has been noted locally that considerable works (about which we have no information) are being carried on at the High School.  SM to investigate.

6.3       Speed tables outside Jordanhill School.   Last year Cllr Mason  consulted widely on this provision which was welcomed.     Councillors Clay and McLean were asked to progress the installation, particularly since nearby areas have had similar traffic measures installed recently.

6.4       Visit to St. Thomas Aquinas School.       Last year the headteacher offered members a conducted tour of the new building but this offer was not taken up.   SM to follow up.
